As part of Team Malizia, Birte Lorenzen-Herrmann, sailor and educator, and her husband, professional sailor Boris Herrmann, launched the “My Ocean Challenge” initiative to bring sailing together with science and education.
After a pitch, a team from the Kassel animation class was able to create title and credit films for a new format of educational films. They deal with topics related to the ocean and marine protection and are moderated by Birte Lorenzen-Herrmann. They are aimed at children around the age of 8-12 with the aim of educating and inspiring them about climate change and ocean protection.
