»Sog« räumt ab! Nachdem der Kurzfilm in Annency als Bester Abschlussfilm ausgezeichnet wurde, gewinnt das Werk von Jonatan Schwenk auch beim 23.ten Palm Springs International Shortfest als Bester Studentenfilm , Nordamerikas größtem Kurzfilmfestival. Was kommt als Nächstes?

»Sog« gewinnt Bester Abschlussfilm in Annecy

Jonatan Schwenks Kurzfilm »Sog« wird als Bester Abschlussfilm beim Filmfestival Annecy ausgezeichnet! Der Film hat es verdient!

Zudem erhielt der Film das Prädikat „besonders wertvoll“ von der deutschen Film- und Medienbewertung (http://www.fbw-filmbewertung.com/film/sog), und hatte die Weltpremiere auf dem kroatischen Animationsfestival in Zagreb.

I still can’t really believe it, but my animated short „Sog“ just won the award for the best graduation film in Annecy, the biggest Animation Film Festival in the World.
This means a lot to me and the entire team! Massive thanks to the Jury!!! Et mercy Annecy!!!!!

Jonathan Schwenk wurde 1987 in Göttingen geboren und studierte Visuelle Kommunikation in Offenbach. Seit 2014 ist er Gaststudent er Trickfilmklasse.

Mit einem kleinen Team arbeitete er an seinem Abschlussfilm, bei dem er die Techniken der stop motion, 3D-, und 2D-Animation miteinander kombinierte.

Entstanden ist ein einzigartiger, atmosphärischer Film, der ganz ohne Dialog funktioniert und den Zuschauer durch seine faszinierende und mystisch anmutende Bildsprache tatsächlich

in einen „Sog“ zieht.

Nach einer Flut stecken plötzlich Fische zwischen den vertrockneten Ästen alter Bäume. Die Schreie, die sie in Todesangst ausstoßen, weckt die heimischen Höhlenbewohner. Genervt und selbst gequält durch den Lärm haben sie kein Mitleid mit den Fischen. Nur einer versucht zu helfen, was verheerende Folgen hat …

Gestern wurde die Welturaufführung des Kurzfilms »Sog« von Jonatan Schwenk auf dem Filmfestival ANIMAFEST in Zagreb, Kroatien, gefeiert.

About Animfest Zagreb 2017

Zagreb, 5. June 2017 – With the opening ceremony held tonight at Europea cinema at 27th World Festival of Animated Film – Animafest Zagreb has officialy started its programme which will last from 5–10 June and present 350 animated films in cinemas Europa, Tuškanac and Kinoteka. Deputy Mayor of the City of Zagreb Jelena Pavičić Vukičević on behalf of the Mayor of Zagreb, Milan Bandić, opened the festival.

Zagreb has been a proud host of Animafest since 1972 and we hope it will stay that way for a long time. It makes this city a special cultural destination for all animation aficianados. Next five days will be filled with wonderful films and I hope that all screenings will be as well attended as the one today. Thank you all for coming and I hereby declare Animafest Zagreb 2017 open!

Nachwuchsförderung: Raum 230 GbR

HessenFilm und Medien GmbH unterstützt drei hessische Nachwuchsproduzenten mit einer Gesamtförderung von 410.000 Euro, darunter das Animationsstudio Raum 230 von Dennis Stein-Schomburg und Martin Schmidt, beides Alumni der Trickfilmklasse Kassel.

„Raum 230 erhält eine Fördersumme von 135.000 Euro und wird in den nächsten Jahren zwei Animationsprojekte, ein Virtual Reality Game und eine mediale Rauminstallation verwirklichen.“

„Mit unserer Talent-Paketförderung wollen wir dafür sorgen, dass sich der Filmnachwuchs mit einem soliden Fundament am Filmmarkt in Hessen etablieren kann. Die Förderzusage über mehrere Jahre verschafft ihnen zudem die Sicherheit, sich ihren Projekten mit ausreichend Zeit widmen und sie zur Produktionsreife entwickeln zu können.“

»Sog« Trailer und Festivalpremiere

Seit heute ist der Trailer des fantastischen Kurzfilms namens »Sog« von Jonathan Schwenk online. Der Film feiert in Kürze seine Weltpremiere auf dem Filmfestival »Animafest Zagreb 2017, gefolgt von »Annecy 2017« und »Anima Mundi 2017«.
